Amy M.

* Ankle Edema, Chronic Fatigue, Neck Pain, Back Pain, Knee Pain.

The 60-day challenge this year was all about consistency for me. I participated in the challenge last year, and even went to the Retreat. When I got home, a series of events were set into motion that culminated in a total life change. My husband and I quit our jobs in Houston, TX, and moved to a little town called Sunman, IN. BIG BIG change! Needless to say, during this time of change, I was not at all consistent with my workouts. I would do a workout here and there, but I definitely didn’t do it enough to even maintain my size. When I received the e-mail about the challenge this year, I definitely knew I wanted to do it again, to give myself the accountability. I know from past experience that T-Tapp works for me, but I have to consistently DO IT! After deciding that I wanted to participate, I called my Mom and asked if she would be interested in doing it together. My Mom and Dad are missionaries in Honduras, and Mom and I started doing T-Tapp together about 6 or 7 years ago while I lived in Honduras with them. We’ve both done it off and on since then, and I knew that if Mom and I did the challenge together, then I would have even more accountability for me to be consistent.

I entered the “Total Workout + Health Improvement” category. I have seen an improvement in the ankle edema, knee pain, back pain, and the fatigue. My neck pain has come and gone throughout the challenge. I noticed that if I did the arm exercises, my neck got worse, so I usually skipped the arm part of the workout. I also walked outside, usually 1-3 times a week. I tried to incorporate the T-Tapp form while walking. The last three weeks of the challenge, I have not been able to do as much as I would have liked. I came down with Strep Throat, so I’ve had to be more careful that I don’t over-do it. These last three weeks, I have mostly done the Basic Plus workout when I felt up to it, and I’ve gone walking a few times. Before that I was doing mostly T-Tapp to Tempo, Step Away the Inches, and walking outside. I feel like doing the Basic Plus and walking when I felt up to it while I was sick, might have helped eliminate some of the toxic stuff going on in my body, and it will help me to continue being consistent with my workouts once I start feeling better. I was pleasantly surprised by my final measurements! Even typically being a slow loser, and then doing what I felt was “not as much” with the Basic Plus workout toward the end, I still lost inches! I love it!

I would like to be the winner because I feel that whenever I attend a T-Tapp clinic, I always come away with something that takes me to another level in my workout. The Retreat of course is the “Ultimate Clinic,” and I felt like I came away just filled to the brim with really incredible knowledge last year. This year, I would love to have the opportunity to come to the Retreat again, and it would be awesome to hear Mary Shomon if she comes. I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos, and I know that Mary is very knowledgeable about the thyroid.

In conclusion, I feel as if the challenge has already provided me with a basis of consistency to continue in my workouts, so I am very glad I have participated. Of course, I would also love to be the winner and have the opportunity to attend the retreat again this year!
