Hi, my name is Dena. I live on a dairy farm in Lena, Illinois with my husband, Adam. We have been married for 5 years. Although, we have no children at this time, we cannot wait for a family. I work full-time as a Registered Professional Nurse at a Family Practice Clinic. In my spare time I practice massage therapy, serving several clients. I love to spend time with my friends and family, especially my niece and nephew.
My T-Tapp journey began in January 2008 when I bought the Total Workout DVD. I had been working out at a fitness facility that uses hydraulic resistance. I was worn out and frustrated at not getting the results I wanted, so I thought I would give T-Tapp a try. The T-Tapp 60-Day Challenge got me excited and gave me special motivation to get more serious about my workouts. The first week of the 60-day challenge I tried the boot camp. Five days of Total Workout was hard. I got up at 4:45 every morning that week to accomplish Total Workout and then went to work all day. The workout gave me energy to breeze through the day, but at night I would fall asleep on the couch at 8 or 8:30 pm. My husband would say "What is wrong with you?" I knew that this new routine was going to be hard work, but I felt determined. I had my husband, fellow T-Tappers, and my T-Tapp Trainer's support. I continued T-Tapp Total Workout 2-3 times each week. Sometimes I would throw in Basic Plus, Hoe Downs, or a walk throughout the week. I also started using CRT Skin Tightening System.
When I measured at the half-way point of the 60-day challenge I was proud of my progress. I had lost inches! When I looked at my body in the mirror I could see the definition of my thigh muscles and that my cellulite was melting away. I was standing up taller. This improvement was huge for me because, I had sported slumped shoulders even from my early childhood. My fellow T-Tappers were also transforming right before my eyes. The half-way point of the 60-day challenge gave me more motivation and confidence to continue with the T-Tapp Total Workout 2-3 times per week. However, one Friday morning I was so tired from the activities from the previous day that I did not go to my morning workout. I felt so guilty. My husband said "I hope you are not going to give up on T-Tapp." I felt like maybe I could. I was so tired, but I knew that this would pass. That day I received encouragement and reassurance from my T-Tapp Trainer, Carol. I persisted on with the workouts. I attended a T-Tapp workshop in Freeport at the end of May which gave me many tips and improved the quality of my workouts. I know that I haven't lost as many inches as other T-Tappers, but I am happy with my success. Now I am leaner and more toned. Health wise, I have noticed increased energy, flexibility and mental clarity. People have even told me that I look taller!
I am happy and blessed to have found T-Tapp. I agree with Teresa Tapp’s mantra,” Yes, you can with T-Tapp.” I would like to be chosen as the Total Workout Category winner because I think it would be so much fun and so exciting to workout with Teresa Tapp herself.
