This 60-Day Challenge has been a blessing for me, it has given me the consistency I’ve needed for years!!

I have always been active and tried all types of exercise programs. I first learned about T-Tapp through the Women’s Fitness International magazine where Teresa was the Exercise Editor and every month she would showcase different T-Tapp moves. At the time I was working out using the Free Style Training system, but was intrigued with every T-Tapp move I learned from the magazine and as soon as I could purchase the workout on VHS I did, that was in 1999. The workout really worked for me, I went from a size 10 to a size 4, needless to say I was hooked and in better shape than I was in high school. But since I was an “all or none” exerciser I got burned out and fell off the wagon, but every time I needed to lose inches I would dust off the tapes and start Tapping. I teetered between size 6 and a tight 8 for years. T-Tapp worked better for me than any of the other tapes I owned and trust me I probably owned them all!!

Fast forward to 2005, I was bigger than I had ever been a tight size 14. I knew I had to do something and thought I should try something new, but couldn’t decide if I wanted to try Pilates or Yoga. When my husband said “you need to T-Tapp” boy did that get my attention, I thought when my husband notices what workouts work for me I better listen. That’s when I went to my first T-Tapp workshop given by Kirsten Tucker, I enjoyed it so much I tried to attend as many as possible. I had success but still had problems with consistency. In 2006 I started training with Kirsten one-on-one on a regular basis but still had that “all or none” mentality and never had the consistency I knew I needed to stop teetering between sizes and now at age 48 it seemed harder to lose inches, but with Teresa being only a couple of years older than me I knew it was possible.

When the 60-Day Challenge was announced I thought I need to give it a try, I’ve always wanted to participate but never had the nerve. So I joined “Tight Club” with Kirsten to help me plan out my workouts. Not only did I work out with Kirsten twice a week, I also did BWO+, Tempo 2, Ladybug Standing / Floor, SITTM, Tempo Lower Body Floor and a 7-day boot camp of OIP/HF, AL, PT, DD. I also took Alfalfa, Fibertox and watched what I ate. I did PBS and dry skin brushing most every day. When I started the challenge I was wearing very tight size 10 and now my size 8’s are baggy and all though I can get in my size 6 Levis from 1999 they are too tight to wear in public.

I would love to win the 60-Day Challenge, but in my mind I am a winner simply because I started the challenge and finished it, which is a feat in itself for me!! I also learned that less is more and consistency is a key to my success and that T-Tapp is the workout for me.

I want to thank Teresa for creating and sharing T-Tapp with us and for having certified T-Tapp trainers like Kirsten that help us through our journey.
