More to Lose 3rd Place Winner

Lisa M.

Ten weeks ago, something happened that dramatically increased my interest in the way I looked. I was out shopping and somebody who did not know me made an innocent comment. She said, "It looks like you're about to bust!" It meant that she thought that I was nine months pregnant and about to give birth. The problem is that I am not pregnant. When I told my children about this experience, they said, "Mom at least you look young." Yes, at 48 years old having someone think that I'm a young mother is nice. On the other hand, learning that you look nine months pregnant when you aren't even pregnant is a humbling experience. This is especially true since my husband, Jim, and I represent a company that markets health and wellness products. Needless to say, I didn't feel like I looked like the epitome of good health.

So two months ago T-Tapp and I began my journey towards a better and healthier life. And what a journey it has been. Already, my posture is better, my blood sugar has evened out, I'm a lot more flexible, my muscle tone has improved, and my measurements are down. Not only that, I have this peach glow to my skin and I have so much more energy. Simply put, I both feel and look a lot better. Oh, as a side benefit, I probably don't look more than six months pregnant now.

From the start, I realized I had to quit making excuses. For example, I thought that the reason why Teresa Tapp could do so much more than me is because she has a different body type than I. I remember seeing her clap her hands behind her back. I thought, "If I had a build like her, I could clap my hands behind my back too." Then one day, as I was working out, my hands went behind me and I heard that wonderful sound--clap. I did it. I clapped my hands behind my back. OK, maybe it wasn't the build of my body that was the problem, maybe it was my body's condition. Fortunately, with T-Tapp's help, I could change that.

The last ten weeks have been wonderful as I keep having moments like this time and time again. A few weeks ago I saw a pair of blue jean shorts that I had not been able to wear in a long time. I thought I would give them a try. They fit!!! Now I am a more flexible and a smaller me.

Just thinking about going to the Safety Harbor Retreat has motivated me to exercise on a consistent basis. The 2009 Retreat was just the incentive I needed to get me to start my workout. Now that I have been doing T-Tapp for two months, I have learned so much and I know that the Retreat will help me learn so much more. I am going to stay focused and exercise so I can be ready for Dave, the photographer, who will take my picture as one of the success stories.

One of the things I would love to do at the retreat is meet some of my new-found friends in person. I have absolutely loved the T-Tapp forums. They have made me feel like I'm part of a group and that motivates me to keep at it. It really helps me to know that women I have never even met are in my corner cheering me on and making me accountable. I would love to meet some of these women in person.

Of course the biggest treat of all would be the chance to meet Teresa Tapp in person. To me, she knows how to exercises better than anyone else. I would love to have a picture with her that I could hang on my wall.

To me, the Safety Harbor Retreat would be like going to a concert. To me, Teresa Tapp is a star who I love watching on her DVDs. But to be there and see her in person with other people who like to watch T-Tapp too would have so much more energy than just seeing a video.

I am looking forward to taking my fitness to the next level with T-Tapp and the trainers. Through the videos, I have already gained more confidence in my abilities to get in better shape. I can certainly see a difference in my upper body, especially those "perkier pecs." My own success has been inspiring and I can't wait to share the success of all the other people who will be at the Retreat.

Since I want a healthier and leaner body, I will continue T-Tapping it. T-Tapp has provided me with such positive results and I'm enjoying my life so much more since I have started exercising. Thank you T-Tapp and I hope to see you at Safety Harbor.
