At six foot and well over 300 pounds I wasn't a very happy man. In fact, I was quite miserable especially during my high school years. Students and classmates often looked at me like a second class citizen, because I didn't fit into the "nicer" clothes that other students wore. I worked at Starbucks for a few years and they actually asked ME to play Santa Claus – I barely fit into the suit – I was humiliated. One night I was watching a CNN episode about the harmful affects of drinking soft drinks and how much sugar they actually contained. During high school, I drank at least 2 cokes a day 7 days a week, which equaled around a pound of sugar. After watching the news report, I decided to quit drinking soft drinks and went straight to water, which is all I drink now with the exception of iced tea now and again.

After a month went by and I noticed that I had lost 20 pounds in pure sugar weight with just replacing water for soft drinks. I didn't change anything with my lifestyle except drink more water and sure enough the pounds just started to wash away. After I graduated high school, I started getting more into the sport which I'm heavily into today, the sport of Paintball. Being over 300 lbs I wasn't a very avid player. With great difficulty I had to run and hide behind bunkers that were smaller than me. Sometimes the guys would use ME for the bunker.

Finally I had enough. I decided to do what worked for my brother, after seeing his success and seeing his photos in Teresa's book, I wanted it to work for me too. Chris lost all his weight in to get his first girlfriend (and she asked him!) and gave him the opportunity to join the Air Force with his newly found physique. I asked my Mom for the SATI workout but not to tell anyone that I was doing it and I would secretly do it at my Dad's house at lunch time. I started my workout routine in April 1st of 2006. I didn't change any eating habits, only did SATI during my lunch break for 25 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week. I did not workout every day. I still managed to have enough time to take a shower, make a smoothie, and be at work within an hour time span.

Once May came around, I started cutting back on un-necessary foods. I quit eating fast-food, and cut out unnecessary carbohydrates. I used to eat a big bowl of cereal for breakfast, generally big enough for two people, but I cut that out of my diet. I started making smoothies with milk mixed with fresh fruits such as banana’s, oranges, and strawberries and some protein powder. Best thing was – the shake was delicious, and it kept me energized for the entire day. I ate low carb, high fiber, and high protein foods to help with the metabolism process. I did not cut carbohydrates out completely, but ate them at breakfast and lunch, but made wiser carbohydrate choices and followed the GM/MM principles as much as I could. For dinner I kept it to high protein and high fiber foods and did my best to not eat past 6 in the evening.

As time passed and months came and went, I shed over 70 pounds by following this plan. I have my first girlfriend ever!! And I no longer have to hide behind the bunkers because I can run on the paintball field and dodge the bullets. I never want to be the bunker-guy again.

I have honestly never felt better in my entire life and plan on sticking with this program. Thank you Teresa.
