Dear Teresa, Kitty and fellow T-Tapp followers,
I have been enthusiastically waiting for June 25th to start the official T-Tapp contest. It will be hard for me to get in front of a camera for before and after pictures but I know that at the end of 8 weeks I know I will see a difference.
My last daughter was born on the day the contest starts one year ago. I was at my highest weight of 220 pounds on a 5’6” medium frame. While I was pregnant, I took the opportunity to evaluate my weight problem. I gained weight starting in high school from depression and my depression grew as my waistband grew. It was a never-ending cycle that brought me to tears and self-loathing.
Within the first week home after having my second daughter I decided to take my thoughts into action and got to work on me. I realized the amount of food that I was eating was far more than a normal portion size. I was not getting any exercise except running around taking care of kids, sitting at a desk all day at work and house duties. Every night, my dear husband watched the little ones as I made headway into making myself a better person. Every night for an hour (with small exceptions for being sick or simply not feeling my best) I committed myself to a healthier lifestyle.
I walked on a treadmill, I used the Total Gym System, floor exercises like push-ups and sit-ups and over Christmas we added a home weight gym. I was successful at losing 67 pounds and dropping from a size tight 20/22 to a loose 12.
I was happy with the direction I was going but noticed that losing was getting more and more difficult. So I weight trained more. Muscle burns fat right? The more muscle I have the more calories I would burn the more I would lose. I figured at the time I needed to lose 20 more pounds.
March and April proved to be difficult because I was on a tough plateau and couldn’t budge anything. Then my co-worker came into to work one day and said; "Have you ever heard of T-Tapp?" My mind went into frenzy because I thought I heard that name before but couldn't place it right away. She went on and talked about the program. I thought to myself; "Yeah right. Sure. (Oh, my nail broke!) Uh-huh. Yeah." and blew her comments off because weight training was going to take care of everything for me.
I had some free time at work and decided to investigate this T-Tapp thing she was talking about. For 2 weeks I listened to her explain the noticeable results she had received from T-Tapping. After much thought and 1 full week (literally) of research, I bought into the program. (I have always been a very skeptical person that must be given reason to purchase something.)
I started measuring on May 11 and to this day (June 23rd) I have lost an amazing 38.25” inches from my body and as an added bonus - 7 more pounds lost for a total of 74 pounds. I went from a large shirt to a medium and a comfortable size 8. More importantly, can I expound on the health benefits despite the amazing inch loss?
I have no more irritable headaches the pop up more times in a week than I can count on my two hands.
My skin is absolutely glowing. You’re reading a letter by someone who used to drink two pots of coffee daily. Between drinking more water and a lot less coffee, T-Tapping and brushing my skin has never looked this good before. Well, maybe when I was a baby...
I used to get sick often. I work in an environment where people share germs as much as they breathe. Not to mention that I have two little girls that attend daycare and bring me home lots of fun germy friends. I have been known to be on antibiotics for months at a time for constant ear infections, sinus infections, colds, and strep even during these hot sticky months. Since I have started a little over 2 months ago now I have not been sick once. This is an all-time record for me.
My periods! Oh dear, how I would curse every man for not knowing what a period was to a woman. I used to menstruate every 16 days. Through the time I worked out before T-Tapp I managed to get it to 21 days. Since starting T-Tapp, I have had two. The first one started at day 23 and the second one started at day 24. A noticeable difference in just two short months with T-Tapp. But it gets even better! I would menstruate for 6 to 7 days. My first period lasted 5 days and the second lasted for 4. I did not have any PMS with the second period (not one bark at my husband!). Not one headache. Not one cramp. Not one inflammation of acne breakout. I also clotted a lot during menstruation, the last two there was barely anything to clot. I used to soak through pads in a couple of hours and now these last two periods have been light enough that I almost felt like I wasn’t even having my period.
I used to see a chiropractor for back problems before I had my last child and thought I was simply cursed with a bad back. After I lost 67 pounds I realized that it was my weight that contributed to my bad back. More importantly since I started with T-Tapp, my back flows freely without feeling any restriction or pain. My spine feels longer and more stable and I attribute to my increased abilities to the wonderful T-Tapp Twist and Lawnmowers.
My overall physical outward appearance has been improved by the gentle reminders of Teresa’s voice talking in my head. “Shoulders back, head up like you’re balancing a book, tuck butt, KLT …” I have always been nagged at with my poor posture but somehow Teresa’s voice is the only one that has stayed with me.
I should also mention that since starting T-Tapp my husband has watched me wither away an additional 38 ¼ inches and has taken great interest in doing the T-Tapp method to health and fitness. He started two weeks ago and in his first measuring lost 11 ¼ inches. He too, is a devotee to T-Tapp. We decided to do this contest together.
I am going to take the opportunity of the next two months during the T-Tapp contest to evaluate just how much T-Tapping is helping me. Like someone mentioned on the forum thread for this topic, this is a win-win situation. I’m not in this contest to win however my determination and commitment will show otherwise. I’ll be eager to track my measurements as I have done thus far, track the days that I have T-Tapped my way to success with my husband, watch all the hard work pay off and show a pleasant smile at the end.
Thank you for your time in considering my introduction letter as my acceptance in the T-Tapp challenge. In two months, I will be sure to write of all the successes that I have personally earned through Teresa’s magnificent workout.
Sincerely grateful to you Teresa and all your followers.
