Hi my name is Kim Volk. I live in NJ with my 2 teenage sons and my best friend Mike. I turned 40 in Oct 0f “06”. I have always been very thin. Even after 2 kids I still ate what ever I wanted and only started to exercise in my early 30’s. Once I hit my late 30’s I started to notice that I had to be careful what I ate. But I could lose weight by just eating salads for lunch and I would drop 5-7 lbs. Around 38 I began exercising in my opinion excessively. I also went low carb for a while and did well and lost weight. Until it became to hard to restrict everything I like to eat for the rest of my life so I started to train harder. I would do hours of Tae Bo or run 5 miles in hopes to lose that 10lbs or allow me to eat pasta or bread 7 days a week. Every time I would eat any carbs I would gain 5 lbs over night. I was so frustrated and depressed. I felt that I would never be able to keep the schedule up, as I got older. I would think when I’m 60 am just going to have to give in and let my body fall apart. It seemed that I had to do more and more with very little results.
Than 3 weeks before my 40th I developed the most horrendous pain in my right hip. It was difficult to walk or even get up from a laying position. I was diagnosed with a stress reaction from running so much. I was unable to work out for 6-7 weeks. I watched my body change drastically in that short period of time. I gained 7-8 lbs. Without changing my low carb diet, which I notice I couldn’t lose weight
on any more. Since my 39th birthday until then I have gained almost 15lbs. In one year!
I found T-Tapp on another forum for low carb. I ordered BWO+ and Hit The Floor. I’m still not sure why I ordered those 2 DVD’s. But I’m glad I did.
I am a LTL combo. So when I started on Dec. 18, 2006 I figured it would take me awhile to see any results.
The first thing I noticed was that I was sleeping at night. I had not slept through the night in over a year. I slept all the time like my body was catching up on all of the sleepless nights. My low back pain was gone. My posture was definitely better. Since I sit at a desk most of the day that was a plus.
I also got more involved with the forums after the New Year. I joined a Basic Workout Plus challenge. When I measured after the challenge I had lost 5” mostly from my abs and hips. I am in jeans that I have been unable to wear for a while.
I have since joined another Basic Workout Plus challenge and added Step Away the Inches (which is my favorite). I liked it so much I just ordered Step It to the Max. WOW did my butt and thighs hurt the next day!
I am just so excited to have found something that I can truly do for the rest of my life! It is truly a miracle when I was wishing for one. Getting heavy was always one of my fears. Now I don’t have to worry any more thanks to T-Tapp.
Thanks Teresa!!
