Alice Rae-Flick
San Diego, California
Certified T-Tapp Trainer

I am Alice Rae Flick, I live in San Diego, CA and I am a New Zealander by origin.

I have tried body building, running, swimming, cycling and triathlons. I have participated in my share of insane weight/cardio workouts, diets (including bulimia), regimes and harebrained schemes. I have gone up and down, and up again on the scales. I have loved my tape measure, and hated my tape measure. So it'll come as no surprise then, that I have had a love/hate relationship with my body.

Sound at all familiar?

I thought this was a normal and expected part of having a body. I also thought you had to workout and diet yourself into a crazed and exhausted state, before you could declare yourself a 'winner' (or more realistically a loser) in the 'battle of the bulge'.

That was until I became a T-Tapp convert in 2003. I was searching for the 'perfect' workout (and how many of those had I tried?!) when I found mention of T-Tapp. I tried it, and was more than a little confused. Why did I feel better AFTER T-Tapp, than before? Aren't you supposed to be completely wiped out after working out, not energized? Don't get me wrong, I felt like I had worked out, but, I also felt like I was 12-feet tall and bullet proof! How could that be?

It didn't take long for an incredible transformation to happen - I felt good about who I was as a person! For as long as I can remember, I've had a really unhealthy relationship with my body, but after understanding about my body shape and it's natural advantages (and limitations), I began to have a lot more respect for it. I also noticed that my balance was improving, I was running better, I slept better, and the world just seemed better overall.

What's even more amazing to me, is that I feel good about me, even though I'm a 'slow loser'. (i.e. NOT a person who loses inches quickly.) Normally, if that was the case, I would give up and try something new. But this time, T-Tapp made sense, it made me feel so good I didn't want to stop. Then something even MORE astounding happened to me. I could eat more, I could cheat more and it WASN'T showing up on my hips, thighs and stomach! Who would've believed that? Not me! I thought I was destined to have to be very selective about the foods I ate forever. T-Tapp reset my metabolism, and has allowed me more 'wiggle room' in my food choices.

So believe me when I say the rewards are not just in inch loss, they are far deeper and more amazing than I can begin to describe. It truly is exciting to participate and see what can happen when you T-Tapp on a consistent basis.

Through T-Tapp I had finally reached the perfect size for me, a size 6. Then I found out I was pregnant, which is where I am at today. My first child is due November 2006 and I am enjoying using T-Tapp as a way to keep myself strong, healthy and my hormones as level as can be!

Because of the profound changes that have happened to me, I wanted to share this amazing form of exercise with others. It truly helped me to have some 'hands on' advice from a trainer (or two), and I want to be able to give that 'hands-on' experience to you. I noticed that after working with a trainer, I pushed myself harder, I could see where I need to improve, and it is so much fun doing T-Tapp with someone else, rather than just you and Teresa on DVD!
